What is the Good News Club?
It’s an after school program, endorsed by Child Evangelism Fellowship, that we sponsor at WC Elementary for children in Kindergarten through Third grades. The GNC presents the gospel to children each week through Bible story, Bible verses, music and fun. Snacks are also served each week. Any child can participate with parent permission. Our club meets each Tuesday (except school holidays) during the school year (October- April) from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. A child can join the club anytime during the course of the year. The club is FREE to every child!
Who can help?
Christians who are members of FBC WC who have a heart for teaching the gospel to children. Responsible youth may also help at the discretion of the Director. Men are needed in each grade level.
What positions are needed?
We need Bible story teachers, group leaders, snack helpers, music leaders, mission leaders and counselors. If you have an interest in serving, come and talk with us! We can find a place for you to serve that fits your spiritual gifting.
Is there training for this club?
Yes, there is a required training course that covers everything from evangelism to curriculum each August. Anyone who wants to go on campus to assist with the club (even if you are the snack coordinator) must attend a training event. Date & Time TBA each year. All volunteers must also submit to background check and participate in other trainings as provided by FBC WC.
